Before carrying out a route inside the CReSA facilities, the visitors were informed about the mission, lines of research and activities of the CReSA; and were able to understand how a Biosafety Unit level-3 works.

They also attended a seminar entitled “Prionic and neurodegenerative diseases” (by Dr Enric Vidal, Head of Spongiform Diseases Unit of the CReSA). The seminar was completed with a round table in which the participants discussed about the situation of this disease in Spain and Estonia, and the methods of control in the European Union.
