Emerging2011: Young person's bursary

The 6th International Symposium on Emerging and Re-emerging Pig Diseases will offer Young Person’s Bursaries to the presenting authors of the accepted abstracts who are aged 35 or under and are still in training (enrolled in a PhD program).

The 6th edition of the International Symposium on Emerging and Re-emerging Pig Diseases will be held in Barcelona (Spain), during 12-15 June, 2011. We expect to surpass the number of around 1,200 attendants present in the last edition of the symposium in Krakow (Poland). Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome (PRRS), porcine circovirus diseases (PMWS) and swine influenza (SI) will be the main topics in Barcelona.

One of the aims of the Symposium Organizing Committee is to support young researchers and help them attending this event in Barcelona. The bursary will be up to 800 € but all applicants must be registered in advance.

Bursary applications must be made on the Young Person’s Bursary application form (instructions available at http://www.emerging2011.com/index.php/en/young-persons-bursary ). The application is available to anyone fulfilling the requested criteria without geographic restrictions.

Young Person’s Bursary will be supported by the Departament d'Innovació, Universitats i Empresa de la Generalitat de Catalunya (2010ARCS 199).
