CReSA joined the ICTS Map

The Council for Science, Technology and Innovation approved the update of the “National Scientific and Technological Infrastructure” Map, known in Spanish as ICTS Map, in which the Centre de Recerca en Sanitat Animal (CReSA) is a new member within the Network of Biosecurity Laboratories.

The Map is now composed of 29 ICTS, which in total has 59 public holding infrastructures, unique on its type and all of them can be used by the scientific, technological and industrial community, both at a national and international level.

The 29 ICTS facilities are divided in eight fields:

  1. Astronomy and Astrophysics: the Gran Telescopio Canarias (GTC); Canarian Observatories; Calar Alto Astronomical Observatory; IRAM 30M radio telescope; Yebes Astronomical Center; Javalambre Astronomical Observatory; and the Canfranc Underground Laboratory.

  2. Marine, Life and Earth Science: Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands; Balearic Islands Coastal Observing and Forecasting System; Spanish Oceanographic Fleet; Spanish Antarctic Station; Doñana Biological Station; Aerial Platform for Research.

  3. Information and Communications Technology: Spanish Supercomputing Extended Net – led by the BSC - Barcelona Supercomputing Center - and RedIris.

  4. Healthcare science and Biotechnology: Integrated Facilities of Production and Characterization of Nanomaterials, Biomaterials and Biomedicine Systems; Integrated Facilities of Omics Technology; Network of High-Biosafety Level Laboratories (in which CReSA is found); Integrated infrastructure of Biomedical Image; Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Laboratory.

  5. Energy: Plataforma Solar de Almería (PSA) and the National Fusion Laboratory.

  6. Engineering: Integrated Infrastructure for Maritime Experimentation.

  7. Materials: ALBA Synchrotron, White Rooms network for Micro and Nanomanufacturing; Integrated Infrastructure of Electron Microscopy for Materials; Spanish Pulsed Lasers Centre (CLPU); National Accelerator Center.

  8. Socio-economic Sciences and Humanities: National Research Centre on Human Evolution (CENIEH).
