Strengthening bonds with Latin American Animal Health

On 16 December 2016 a delegation from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná (PUCPR, Curitiba - PR, Brazil) visited IRTA-CReSA. They had previously visited other centers such as the IRTA Monells where Angela Cristina da Fonseca de Oliveira (PUCPR atudent) is conducting a research project or IRTA Mas de Bover where, in the future, Antonio Melo Diego Brandão, PhD student of PUCPR, will perform part of his thesis project.

The aim of the visit was to know the scientific facilities of IRTA-CReSA and strengthen relationships with researchers for future exchanges with students and teachers of PUCPR.


The delegation was formed by Cristina Santos Sotomaior, veterinary, PUCPR professor, Leandro Batista Costa, Zootecnista, PUCPR professor and the graduate student Tamara Duarte Borges who has conducted part of her doctoral thesis at IRTA Monells.
